Last Sunday, a day before Memorial Day, I had my first wreck. I was on my way back out to the forest, which is where I occasionally take my horse and go camping. I had been camping since Friday night and went home early Sunday morning for my brother's graduation party. After helping clean up his everything from his party my friend Tiffany and I packed our stuff to go out there to camp. We were on the Pike State Forest Road going around Happy Hollow curve when I met an oncoming car that was between 2-3 feet over the center line. I swerved so I wouldn't get hit head on, but when I did the side of the highway was chipped and between that and the gravel it started to slide me sideways. When this happened I swerved the other way, causing me to go about a foot off of the other side of the road where I ran over a culvert that popped my tire and flipped my vehicle over. From this point on everything gets a little blurry but I remember most of it. Once we came to a stop I turned the keys off, unbuckled my seatbelt, and rolled down my window. A car came to a stop and one of my good friends, Shanique got out and made sure we were okay and gave me her cell phone before running back to the corner to stop oncoming traffic. While Shanique was stopping the cars I tried to call the police but her phone didn't have any reception, which was very scary. I had to climb back into my vehicle which was on it's side in the middle of the road, this was very hard for me but I knew I had to do it so the police could come out there. So I got my cell phone called the police and my parents who arrived shortly.
Tiffany and I are both okay, thank goodness. My '97 Chevy Tahoe is getting fixed as I type this. The damage was a busted back window (which is about $1000 to get repaced!), some dents, a lot of scratches, and a broken side-view mirror. It could be a lot worse, and I am very thankful that we are both safe and no one else got hurt. This was my first wreck ever and hopefully my last!

Saddle Problems
I have had some saddle problems in the past few weeks. So my friend Tiffany and I always go horseback riding when it's nice outside. So I saddled up both of our horses and we started riding out. Well I had been having trouble with her saddle because the leather was so worn the clip had been coming out of it. So by tightening it I thought I had solved that problem, but apparently not because the stirrup fell off. We rode all the way back to the barn and borrowed my neighbor's saddle for her and we took off again. It was all fun and games until my stirrup came off too, the exact same problem but different side. So now I have two saddles that I can't even use and 4-H is approaching very quickly. Plus, I'm pretty sure that it isn't fixable, so I am very sad and I don't have a job to buy a new one. I guess if I can find someone to loan me a good saddle I'll have to do that. I'm so sad about it, but I don't mind to ride bareback but none of my friends will go with me because they don't have enough balance to ride so they would fall off, which might actually end up being funny.

I absolutely despise computers and technology sometimes. I just wrote a really long blog and it couldn't save or publish it and my internet stopped working. So now that I'm on a new computer it better keep working. Okay, now that I have said that I guess I'll rewrite what I have to talk about. I am super excited for the boys basketball game tonight. We play Princeton and it's senior night so the gym is going to be packed. The only part that stinks is that I have to work concessions. Plus, tommorrow is Carson's birthday party and we're going bowling. I'm so excited there is so much fun stuff going on. I am also going for a long trail ride Sunday so I have a really full weekend!

So Many Birthdays Today!
Today is February 25th and it is Jordan, Carson and Kinsey's Birthdays! Jordan and Carson turn 16 and Kinsey turns 18. I'm so excited because this weekend Carson is having her birthday party at the bowling alley and the weekend after that Jordan is having her birthday party and we're going paintballing. I just absolutely cannot wait. I'm not that good at bowling but I always have a blast especially when I'm with my friends. I have never been paintballing before but I have been hit by one and it is really painful, so try not to get hit. Well that's all I have to say for right now.

Now that swimming is over I am sad but softball is on the way so I still have something to look forward to. I already miss swimming, but I like having some free time. Open barns for softball have started and I'm getting anxious waiting for the season to begin but it'll be over before I know it. I get excited just talking about it because that means summer is almost here! Oh well I shouldn't get ahead of myself because the dreaded finals come before summer. Finals are definitely stressful but I just keep summer in mind to get me through it. It seems like forever until school ends, but in reality it's just around the corner. Oh well I have softball to work at, my horses to start training and finals to start preparing for, but I'm sure I'll loose track of the time and it'll be summer again before I know it.

My First Day Blogging
This is almost as fun as making a new myspace. There is a lot of different things you can do and I'm still learning. I love that my background is very bright. I hate computers though because mine has kicked me off the internet three times now. Also this computer is very slow. Oh well I need some more patience. I have to get off now and get ready to go to Chemistry.
